Trezor.io/Start is the official starting point for initializing and securely setting up your new Trezor hardware wallet. Follow the steps below to make sure your device and cryptocurrencies are protected from the beginning.

Verify the official website: Always make sure you're on trezor.io/start and the site uses HTTPS.
Connect your device: Plug in your Trezor wallet using the USB cable. Open the Trezor Suite application on your computer.
Check authenticity: Examine the device packaging and holographic seal. Any sign of tampering? Contact support and do NOT proceed.
Install firmware: The Suite will prompt you to install official firmware if your device is new.
Device authentication: Review on-screen security confirmations and approve on your Trezor, if device supports it.
Create or recover wallet: Choose “Create new wallet” for first-time setup, or “Recover wallet” if restoring a previous seed.
Backup your recovery seed:
Write down all seed phrase words by hand. Never digitize, photograph, or share it. Keep offline and secure.
Set a PIN code: Make a strong, unique PIN that only you know. It protects your device from access.
Finalize setup & access Suite: Complete any last steps, then manage your coins, send/receive funds, and stay secure using Trezor Suite.
